The Kainamui Factory is part of the New Ngariama Farmers Cooperative Society, supporting around 1,800 smallholder coffee farmers. Farmers grow coffee alongside crops like tea, bananas, and macadamia, while receiving agronomic training and financial support. Ripe cherries are delivered to the factory, where they undergo Kenya's signature washed process, including fermentation, soaking, and raised-bed drying. The highest-quality, traceable lots are selected as microlots, producing the bright, clean, and complex cup profile for which Kenyan coffees are renowned.
